We have been conditioned to think of pain as something inherently bad.
Something hurts...
And our immediate response is:
“Make it stop.”
But what if we approached pain differently?
What if, instead of only asking “How do I get rid of this?” we began asking:
“Why is this hurting?”
“What is creating this experience?”
“What is my body trying to communicate?”
Pain can bring our attention to something that needs to be understood.
The goal isn't to glorify discomfort or simply endure it.
It's to become more curious about what may be happening beneath the symptom.
That shift from eliminating the signal to understanding the signal can completely change the way we approach our health.
Instead of fighting your body, begin listening to it.
In today's video, I share a different perspective on pain and why asking “why?” may be one of the most important steps in the healing process.
